This is the man who presided over the corruption of BP while I was a BP senior financial analyst. He is John Baring but he became the 7th Baron Ashburton. He was Chairman of BP from 1992 to 1995. He appears in my novel as Lord Debauchton, the face of evil. His family started Barings Bank and actually financed the Louisiana purchase. He believed it was his destiny to rule the world. Instead, his policies have gone a long way toward destroying it. Our founding fathers threw the British army out of our hemisphere. We can surely do the same to British Petroleum.

This is a link. While I do not advocate seizing BP, I do agree with the logic behind it and encourage anyone to visit this site and even sign its petition to send a message. My goal is to force BP to divest its US assets and leave our hemisphere.
