On the Road Again

Special thanks to Jack Kerouac whose work inspired and guided this effort.  I consider his classic 1957 novel, ON THE ROAD, to be the greatest piece of purely original American literature ever written.  Though he would have cringed from the term, I credit Jack Kerouac with the development of the formula I refer to as the autonovel.

Autonovel

The autonovel is an art form not generally practiced or even known in the United States.  It is so obscure that a Google search prior to this printing did not yield a single hit in English.  Basically, the novelist fictionalizes real experiences to enhance readability and provide for deniability.  The value of this book is much more than just its real and useful information on RV travel in all of the continental United States including Alaska.  Considerable care was taken to integrate that information into a work of fiction that will entertain readers regardless of their ambitions regarding RV travel.  Some readers will set out on the road to approximate our experiences.  For other readers, this book will take the place of such an adventure.  For the majority of readers, it's a good story.

If you prefer a signed book to the Kindle version I have some available.  Once they are gone it will only be sold electronically.
